Saturday, July 4, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Join us for a powerful Independence Day tradition at The Robbins House: Reading with Frederick Douglass. Held annually on our front lawn, this community event features a reading of Douglass’s famous speech, “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?” Audience participation is encouraged—come lend your voice to history.
