About this event
One of 2 upcoming events at The Robbins House, and 3,460 across Greater Boston.
Thursday, October 22, 12:00 PM: Ten new Black Heritage Trail markers are coming to Concord, bringing greater visibility to the people, places, and stories that are part of the town’s Black history. On October 22, the Town of Concord’s Economic Vitality and Tourism Divisions, The Robbins House, and the Black Heritage Trail Advisory Team invite the community to celebrate the completion of Concord’s Black Heritage Trail. The program will recognize the installation of the new markers, along with a new walking tour and map, and will include remarks and song commemorating this important milestone. The project grew out of years of research, community engagement, and collaboration, with The Robbins House among the partners helping to bring the trail to life. Where is Parcel 1693? Parcel 1693 is located in Monument Square, next to the Catholic Parish Center/Rectory at 70 Monument Square and across the circle from Concord Town House. Free and open to all. The Black Heritage Trail is a project of the Town of Concord, made possible by a grant from the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism, with support from The Robbins House and other community partners.
