About this event
One of 12 upcoming events at The Roux Institute.
AI is taking on tasks that once gave early-career employees opportunities to practice, make mistakes, and develop judgment. What happens when those employees are expected to think strategically before they have built that experience? This AI in Action conversation explores how employers can adapt hiring, assignments, training, and mentoring to recognize potential and develop the capabilities their teams need. Attendees will examine how to assess candidates’ problem-solving and judgment when AI can help produce polished work, and how co-ops, experiential learning, and project partnerships can help people build and demonstrate those abilities. Participants will leave better equipped to: — Identify where AI is changing entry-level work and removing opportunities to gain experience. — Assess candidates’ problem-solving, judgment, and potential when AI can help produce polished applications and work samples. — Adapt assignments and mentoring to help early-career employees build experience and recognize what good work looks like. — Set expectations for AI-assisted work, including how employees check outputs, explain their reasoning, and seek guidance. — Understand how co-ops, experiential learning, and project partnerships can help employers develop and evaluate future talent.
