Live Music: RJ Bloke

RJ Bloke is new to Portland, having recently relocated from Los Angeles, where he was a well established songwriter, solo performer and bandleader for Patrolled By Radar, in the Americana Roots Rock, Alt-Country scene. In the folk-blues tradition of acoustic guitar and harmonica, he performs originals with memorable melodic hooks and thought provoking poetic lyrics, as well as reinterpreted choice cover songs. He has toured the US extensively, both solo, and with his band. He has recorded several independent full length albums, as well as releases for Knitting Factory Records (Brooklyn, NY), and Nomad Eel Records (San Pedro, CA). His songs have been featured in numerous film and TV productions, including "Shameless" (HBO), and most recently "Breakwater" (Hulu). All ages welcome.
