Dann Zinn Quartet

As a world-class saxophonist/flutist, Dann Zinn is renowned for being a passionate soloist and composer/arranger. Hailed over the years as “inventive,” “distinctive,” and for “creating a stunning and emotional listening experience,” Zinn has developed a unique style distinguishing him as a one of a kind artist with a tone unlike any other horn player on the jazz scene today. His impressive discography includes over 100 appearances as a featured soloist and sideman on albums with prominent musicians. Zinn’s performances have spanned top venues. Frank Martin is a pianist/keyboard player that continues a diverse career as a performer as well as an educator and has performed and/or recorded with a wide variety of artists that include: Stevie Wonder, Sting, Randy Brecker, Angela Bofill, Al Jarreau, Shankar Mahadevan, Flora Purim & Airto Moriera, Herbie Hancock, Tuck & Patti, Robben Ford, Joey DeFrancesco, John McLaughlin, Patti Austin, Steve Winwood, Santana, Chris Isaak, B.B. King, John Handy, Bruce Springsteen, Chris Botti, Jose Neto & the Netoband, Paul Simon, Patti Labelle, Ramsey Lewis, Stanley Turrentine, Dennis Chambers, Turtle Island String Quartet, and Wayne Shorter. Daniel 'D-Lucca' Parenti is an accomplished jazz bassist, composer, and educator based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Beginning his jazz journey at age 12, he has toured extensively with notable artists including Rosemary Clooney and Michael Feinstein, recorded multiple Grammy-nominated albums with Concord Jazz Records, and released several original jazz albums. Currently, he serves as Music Director at the California Jazz Conservatory and Oakland School for the Arts. Deszon Claiborne began his musical career at the early age of ten. Virtually self taught in the beginning, he went on to study with world-renowned drummers which provided him with a strong foundation in jazz, rhythm & blues and world music. He has had the pleasure to perform or record with the following artists: Peter Apfelbaum, Don Cherry, Charles Brown, Angela Bofill, Les McCann, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Robin Ford, Boz Scaggs, Greg Howe, Henry Butler, Giovani Hildalgo, Kai Eckhardt, John Handy, Taj Mahal, Donald Harrison, Rodney Franklin, and many others.
