About this event

Join your Friends at this one-hour introductory presentation to learn about rain gardens and how you can build one in your own yard. Held in the auditorium at the Henry Ford Centennial Library, this workshop is free and open to the public. No supplies are necessary, but feel free to bring note taking materials if you are planning on taking notes. In a rain garden, beautiful Michigan native plants soak up rainwater runoff before it flows into storm drains. Rain gardens reduce neighborhood flooding, basement backups, and pollution flowing into your Rouge River. Rain gardens also provide habitat for songbirds, butterflies and other important pollinators. You can be part of the solution right in your own yard! Thank you to our sponsor, DTE Energy. *Please note that the presentation will be fully in English.
