Watch architects, engineers, artisans, and students compete to design and build giant structures made entirely from full cans of food in the Adams Atrium. After the sculptures are built and winners are declared in several categories, the sculptures remain on display to the general public for two weeks. At the close of the competition, all of the food is donated to Foodlink. This October, Canstruction Rochester will continue its mission to raise awareness and collect canned goods for thousands of families in the Rochester area. Last year, we successfully donated a whopping 35,792 cans, which translated to over 17,000 pounds of grocery items made available to local food banks. This year, we are determined to break those numbers, and we need your help! After the sculptures are built and winners are declared in several categories, the sculptures remain on display to the general public for two weeks. At the close of the competition, all of the food is donated to Foodlink.
