Early Childhood Music Class

Designed for children under age 6 and their grownups, this engaging early childhood music workshop nurtures singing, listening, language, and movement skills through fun, interactive music activities. Adults will also receive ideas and resources for creating a music-rich environment at home. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and a ticket is required for both the child and accompanying adult. Space is limited. Please meet near the Butterfly Garden 10 minutes before your workshop start time. Instructor Zhilin Zhang is a PhD student in Music Education at the Eastman School of Music. She has trained in Orff, Kodály, and Gordon pedagogies, and has taught Kindermusik for more than 5 years. Zhilin applies social-emotional learning and culturally responsive teaching in the classroom to help every child grow in music and feel seen and valued.
