Summer Camp: Game Makers: Create, Solve, and Play

The Strong National Museum of Play’s Game Makers camp invites campers to explore the creative process behind their favorite games. Throughout the week, campers will brainstorm imaginative ideas, design game components, and experiment with different types of games, including tabletop games and escape room–style challenges. Guided by teachers and museum creators, campers will design their own games and test each other’s creations. On the final day, campers will host a Game Makers Expo, showcasing designs for peers and families. The Strong Museum Summer Camp offers unique museum-based learning experiences that will spark the imagination and allow campers to learn and discover through play and exploration. Each week campers will be provided with one-of-a-kind learning opportunities engaging with different museum professionals and exhibits along with teacher-led classroom time to further investigate and expand on these themes. Summer Camp times are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Drop off between 8:45 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Pick up between 3:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. After care available from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for an additional fee.
