About this event

Family Friendly

At The Strong National Museum of Play’s Museum Makers camp, campers step into the role of junior exhibit designers and curators. Through hands-on creation, behind-the-scenes experiences, and playful exploration of the museum, kids will discover how exhibits are imagined, designed, and brought to life, and how artifacts are cared for. Campers will work together to plan and build their own mini-exhibits and host a Museum Makers Showcase for peers and families. The Strong Museum Summer Camp offers unique museum-based learning experiences that will spark the imagination and allow campers to learn and discover through play and exploration. Each week campers will be provided with one-of-a-kind learning opportunities engaging with different museum professionals and exhibits along with teacher-led classroom time to further investigate and expand on these themes. Summer Camp times are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Drop off between 8:45 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Pick up between 3:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. After care available from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for an additional fee.
