Centre Company presents The Nutcracker

Internationally renowned American Ballet Theatre principal dancers Devon Teuscher and Aran Bell will guest star in the Centre Performing Arts Company’s Nutcracker. This is the only chance to see them perform on the East Coast in this season’s Nutcracker! Audiences rave about the Centre Company’s Nutcracker – “What an incredible performance!” “Honestly one of my favorite Nutcracker ballet performances.” “Far better than a weekend in NYC or Chicago. It was exceptional!” Teuscher and Bell will share the stage with Centre Company’s stunning dancers in a production that has it all: gorgeous costumes, magical staging, whimsical storytelling, and even a live pony pulling a sleigh through a snowy forest. Travel with Clara as she embarks on a journey into the magical Land of Sweets, where she meets dancing Snowflakes and Sugarplums, Dragons and Peacocks, Shepherdesses and Bon Bons, and avoids the tricks of a naughty little mouse. The Centre Company has brought its full-length Nutcracker to audiences stretching from Northern Virginia to the Piedmont region for more than a decade. This production is a holiday favorite full of beauty, humor, and whimsy that can’t be missed! Devon Teuscher will dance the role of Sugar Plum Fairy. Photo by Renata Pavam.
