Black Art School, August 2026

At 33.G Black Art School is a bi-monthly education series taught by experienced Artists, Curators and other Arts Professionals on location in the gallery. Participants will have an opportunity to be introduced to various art-based subjects in both lecture & hands-on formats. On August 15, 2026 we look forward to presenting the lecture: Painting with (Black) Light Join us for this discussion on the history of photography from an African American (Black) perspective We will discuss the early history of photography, notable Black photographers, and the role photography has played in shaping, preserving and presenting Black life. While not required, we suggest a small contribution to support the infrastructure of our programming.
