With a sound rooted in authentic Americana storytelling and elevated by the raw energy of modern soulful southern rock, Brian James has established himself as a formidable presence in the contemporary music landscape. Known for his larger-than-life stage persona, quick-witted crowd engagement, and undeniable vocal power, James delivers an electrifying live experience that transcends genre and generation. His artistic foundation was built far from the bright lights of the music industry. Born and raised on a working farm in the remote logging community of Montesano, Washington, James’s early life was defined by a strong work ethic and a deep connection to roots music. That ingrained authenticity ultimately became the hallmark of his songwriting. In 2005, driven by a lifelong pursuit of the craft of songwriting, James relocated to Nashville, Tennessee. He quickly caught the attention of Music Row, signing as a songwriter with the Surefire Music Company. His tenure in Nashville validated him as an elite, versatile storyteller, earning him critical industry recognition, including a CCMA nomination for Single of the Year and a Gospel Single of the Year nomination for his acclaimed track, “Angel at the Crossroads.” Today, James has returned to his Pacific Northwest roots, bringing his extensive industry experience back to the regional stage. Performing both as a solo acoustic act and fronting his powerhouse band, he is a staple of the West Coast touring circuit. Whether commanding a festival stage, securing major commercial syncs, or captivating an intimate venue, Brian James remains a consummate entertainer and a dedicated craftsman, continually expanding his dedicated audience with a timeless sound and undeniable showmanship. Concert ground rules: – Music concerts are complimentary. – Attendance is first come, first serve. We do not take reservations or save tables/chairs/parking. – We encourage carpooling, as parking is limited. No large RV’s, boats, trailers allowed in the parking lot. – Coolers of any type/size are NOT allowed. No outside alcohol. Violators will have alcohol confiscated and asked to leave the event. – A few chairs are available at the venue. Low concert/beach chairs are allowed. – The venue has very little shade. Come prepared for warm/hot evenings. – Any use of cannabis products or illegal substances is strictly prohibited anywhere on Tipsy Canyon Winery property (including personal vehicles). – Children are allowed if they are supervised and stay with their parents. – Dogs are allowed if they are friendly and are leashed at all times.
