December Nights at Balboa Park

For two magical evenings each December, Balboa Park transforms into a glittering winter wonderland. All 17 museums open their doors for free, stages fill with live music and performances, international food booths line the promenades, and hundreds of thousands of lights illuminate the park’s Spanish Colonial architecture. It’s the single most beloved holiday event in San Diego — and one of the best free events in all of Southern California.
