2nd Friday: Dog Days of Summer

“Dog Days of Summer” invites social dogs and their humans (or humans who love dogs!) to come together for an evening of crafts, acoustic music, treats, and community! Note: Please expect that many dogs will be present on this evening. Dogs must be kept on a leash and attended to by their human at all times. Every second Friday of the month through October, the Torpedo Factory Art Center is open late. Meet artists, experience special activations, and immerse yourself in the vibrant arts community. This event is FREE and open to the public!🎨 Paw Prints & Painted Pebbles | Grand Hall | 7-9:30 pm TFAC artist Jennifer Brewer Stone invites participants to create paw print keepsake art using clean-touch ink pads and paint small trinket rocks in celebration of Dog Days of Summer. She will also have prints and cards available for sale. Printmaking Demo | Grand Hall | 7:30-9:30 pm Join TFAC artist Samantha Shelton as she demonstrates linocut block printing with an etching press! Animal Welfare League of Alexandria | Grand Hall | 7-8:30 pm Discover how the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria is making a difference in our community. AWLA representatives will be on-site to highlight the many ways we support animals and their people and share ways you can get involved through adoption, foster, volunteering, and youth programs. Dog Photo Booth | Grand Hall | 7-10 pm Stop by our photo booth for a free printed photo with your dog! Bandana Decorating | Grand Hall | 7-10 pm Using fabric markers, decorate and bring home a TFAC bandana for your furry friend!
