Every 2nd Friday of the month now through December 2025, Torpedo Factory Art Center is open late. Explore the building full of artists, enjoy music, art activations, and ignite your creative spirit! These events are free. This November, join us for Fall into Crafting! Celebrate the season with hands-on art activities, music, and meet our wonderful community of artists during open studios. Stop in to enjoy the cozy spirit of fall throughout the building. Get Into Glass | Studio 335 | 7:30 pm lecture start The Netflix show Blown Away has increased the popularity of glass art. But glass blowing is just one method to form and shape glass. Get an overview of the many ways glass can be manipulated from Torpedo Factory artist Alison Sigethy. The free talk includes time for questions and a resource list for those interested in learning more. If you can’t wait to get started with glass, a limited number of spots are available after the talk to make your own paperweight. (A $60 fee will be charged to cover costs for those who want to make a paperweight. Paperweights will be available for pickup beginning Monday, November 17.) Zine Workshop with Cartoonist Sierra Barnes | Studio 331 | 7-9 pm Award-winning cartoonist and TFAC artist Sierra Barnes will lead visitors in a zine workshop in her studio on the third floor. She will teach participants how to fold and create a zine from one piece of paper and discuss working as a full-time cartoonist. All materials will be provided, and guests are encouraged to bring their creativity and questions for the artist! Printmaking Demo | Grand Hall | 7-10 pm Join TFAC artist Samantha Shelton as she demonstrates linocut block printing with an etching press! Fall Gelli Print Cardmaking | Grand Hall | 7-10 pm Using acrylic paints, leaves, and other found materials, participants are invited to learn gelli plate printing, a type of mono-printmaking. Participants will get to experiment with color layering, leaf silhouettes, and take a unique printed card home. Bandana Decorating | Grand Hall | 7-10 pm Decorate a TFAC bandana with fabric markers! Collage Crafting with Mobile Art Lab | Grand Hall | 7-10 pm Join the Mobile Art Lab in creating colorful magazine collages! Acoustic Guitar with Jarrett Laskey | Spiral Staircase, Grand Hall | 7-10 pm
