“Best is Yet to Come” oil on canvas sprouting oak by Brianna Camp of Fairfax, Va. “Passel Opossums” Chinese brushpainted opossum and joeys among grapes by Tracie Griffith Tso of Reston, Va. Fire On Studio 22 artists arrive at the most generous season of the year with “Wholehearted Harvest,” an exhibition bringing a gracious cornucopia of one-of-a-kind delights in pottery, glass and painting. Heartfelt and handmade, every piece is an invitation to gather and celebrate. Find originals to spice up a table, frame a culinary masterpiece and add homespun festive touches. Spiraled splatters and handpainted servers upgrade a tablescape from ordinary to occasion. Earthy, rustic forms feel as at home on a Thanksgiving spread as they do on an everyday shelf, mantle or entry table, because beautiful things should be lived with and used. Traditional woodfired, hand-sculpted face jug by Brian Grow of Alexandria, Va. Start the holiday season with a toast in handmade drinkware. Sculpted face jugs, mugs and tumblers offer a warm welcome to the season of gathering. Sips from a handcrafted mug or teacup on a cool November morning is its own small celebration. Offer fruit in vivid kilnformed glass vibration bowls that glow with seasonal color. Shimmering glass or ceramic tealight holders that cast a warm amber glow on the shortest evenings of the year. A distinctive ikebana vase invites a creative arrangement of late-season stems, seed pods or the branches from the garden. An oil-on-canvas masterpiece sharing the season’s palette with rich color and quiet, lasting beauty evokes tableside elegance. A natural eco-print brings the outdoors in with silhouetted and shadowy plants set in indigo, offered as greeting cards and wall-hung compositions. Add touches of whimsy with brushpainted pandas on a powder room soap dish, rabbits napping on a vanity tray or cardinals flitting among foliage on a platter or print. Seed pod of possibilities handbuilt in stoneware by Elke Seefeldt of Arlington, Va. The table is set, so savor a harvest in the perfect artistic arrangement in every room. Come discover the pieces that make a home feel like a lingering celebration and continual feast for the eyes. 3-D gallery Fire On Studio 22 offers various treatments of glass, pottery and more on the first floor of the Torpedo Factory Art Center 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday November 13 for the Torpedo Factory Art Center’s Late Night; “Wholehearted Harvest” show runs November 1 through 30, 2026.
