Brian McCarty, Marbrisa and Dan Tennant – October 9, 2026

Brian McCarty, Marbrisa and Dan Tennant will share a night of music at Trinity House. Brian McCarty sang for the Trash Brats, and currently plays in the Americana band, the Hackwells, and rock and roll band-the Big Bad Beat. Fans have enjoyed the Hackwells’ songs about prison grave yards, flea market beauty queens, broken hearts, turmoil, and other people’s faults all delivered with a little Detroit swagger Brian considers himself a disciple of Elvis, Jim Croce, Chuck Berry, John Prine, Hank Sr., Gordon Lightfoot, the Beatles, Stones, and the Ramones. Marbrisa, the Detroit bred singer-songwriter, started her musical journey in Latin America at age 23. As an ambitious self taught musician, she got her chops by accompanying the locals on their busking trips throughout buses, street markets, and local cafeterias. For this reason, she attributes the two and half years living in Guatemala as her main form of music school. In 2016 she recorded her first album, Brisa Del Mar. The album featured musicians that she had met through busking in the NYC subways while living there. In 2017 she was nominated for a Detroit Music Award for outstanding vocalist in World Music. In 2024, she performed a few sets at the international festival SXSW, and recently was on the cover of Detroit MetroTimes for her major performance feature at the Detroit Institute of Arts. She’s excited to perform at major New Orleans and Detroit festivals this summer. Dan takes his love of fast, heartfelt, and melodic music such as bluegrass, folk, and punk, and funnels it through his life experiences or daydreams to create songs that he finds meaningful.
