Live Music Community Arts & Culture

FIRST FRIDAYS Friday, April 3, 2026 | 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM Tulsa Artist Fellowship Studios 109 MLK Jr. Blvd E. Tulsa, OK 74103 Since 2016, Tulsa Artist Fellowship has hosted First Fridays, a free monthly series celebrating awardees, alumni, and the Tulsa community. Visitors can explore open studios, exhibitions, and live programming throughout our studios, roof terrace, and galleries. On April 3, experience Futuro Imperfecto, presented in partnership with The Hulett Collection, featuring Tulsa Artist Fellow Miguel Braceli. For more than a decade, Braceli has created performances, installations, photography, and video that examine the political and social conditions shaping life in Venezuela and the United States. Through poetic interventions in public space, his work gives tangible form to the forces shaping our “imperfect future.” Throughout the evening, visitors are invited to meet artists and learn about their processes firsthand. Complimentary beverages will be provided by Heirloom Rustic Ales, with live mixes by DJ Xavier. First Fridays are free and open to all. The evening continues beyond the studios with First Fridays After Hours: Wool That Wouldn’t Bleach, presented by the Center for Queer Prairie Studies. This after-hours exhibition features work by collective member and artist Joshua Daniel, expanding on themes of identity, conformity, and social acceptance first explored in a 2023 CQPS Capsule Collection. Taking place from 8–10 pm at 303 N Main Street (CQPS), the program includes music, process-as-art video projection, and a set by DJ Molly, creating a welcoming, intergenerational atmosphere. Continue the night with our neighbors—Lowdown will offer a special $5 cover from 6–9 pm, featuring live jazz in their intimate listening room, and Guthrie Green hosts its First Friday Art Crawl spring night market and block party with local vendors, food trucks, and performances from 6–9 pm. Flagship will be closed for deinstallation this First Friday. Stay tuned for upcoming exhibitions and project announcements.
