Sign Up for 5K Here Saddle up for Arts of the Pamlico’s 1st Annual Cowboy 5K Ramble Run & Rhythm, a western-themed fun run and full day of music, movies, and cowboy flair all benefiting the preservation of the Historic Turnage Theatre. Saddle up for a morning of fun, fitness, and frontier spirit at our Cowboy Ramble Run & Rhythm event, a morning of traditional music, cowboy movies on the big screen, a 5K walk/run and concert by Michael Schott & Band on stage — all inspired by Roy Rogers the American Singing Cowboy who visited the theatre. This lively community event brings together musicians, runners, walkers, families, and classic Western fans for a memorable day long celebration. Whether you’re jamming, listening, running, rambling, or just there for the fun, this event promises a rootin’-tootin’ good time for all ages. Event Overview Date: Saturday, April 11, 2026 10 AM - 9 PM Locations: Historic Turnage Theatre Certified waterfront course through downtown Washington and the Pamlico River boardwalk, with activities at the Historic Turnage Theatre Benefiting: Preservation of Historic Turnage Theatre efforts by Arts of the Pamlico A Full Day of Western Fun Morning & Afternoon at the Turnage BCTMA music jam in the Turnage Gallery 10 - 12 Noon Cowboy trick demonstrations and “give-it-a-try” sessions Cowboy hat decorating Old-time cowboy selfie stations Classic westerns on the big screen 1 - 4 PM Vaudeville-style theatre tours (sign-up required) 5K Ramble/Run - 5 PM Concert - 6:30 PM Evening Free Concert 6:30 PM: Live country music concert with Michael Schott & Band on stage Awards for Best Cowboy/Cowgirl Outfit Theatre ticket giveaways during the concert Ramble/Run Registration & Pricing 5K Run/Walk/Ramble through downtown Washington and along the scenic waterfront Start Time: 5:00 PM Registration online or 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM at Historic Turnage Theatre on day of. Cowboy and cowgirl western wear is encouraged, boots, hats, bandanas, strollers, and well-behaved pups welcome on the run! $35 – Ages 19+ $25 – Ages 18 & under $30 – Virtual registration $5 discount for Arts of the Pamlico members (Bandanas provided to all registrants. Complimentary bottled water available.)
