Heartland Stories, Road-Worn Songs: Jordan Messerole at 12N

From the heart of the Great Plains to the 12N stage, Jordan Messerole brings a deeply rooted brand of Americana shaped by the landscapes, people, and contradictions of the Midwest. A multi-award-winning songwriter from central Minnesota, Messerole pairs guitar, thoughtful lyricism, and often rack harmonica to tell gritty American stories that move between love and loss, success and failure, life and death. His songs are steeped in the natural world around him — wildflowers, tall grass, wildlife, and the wide-open spaces that give Midwestern music its sense of place. With an engaging stage presence and a storyteller’s instinct, Messerole delivers performances that feel intimate, honest, and lived-in. His songwriting has earned recognition that places him in distinguished company alongside artists such as John Prine, Jason Isbell, and John Hiatt, making him a natural fit for listeners who appreciate sharp writing, emotional depth, and timeless Americana. Join us at Twelvenote for a night of original music cultivated in the heart of the Midwest and carried east one story at a time.
