Formed in Jonquière, Québec, the band has built a legacy through landmark albums like Killing Technology, Dimension Hatröss, and The Outer Limits, earning a reputation as one of metal's most fearless and influential innovators. Following the loss of guitarist Denis "Piggy" D'Amour in 2005, the band successfully entered a new era with guitarist Daniel "Chewy" Mongrain, continuing to push creative boundaries while earning critical acclaim with albums such as Target Earth and the Juno Award-winning The Wake. Building on decades of innovation, Voïvod's fifteenth studio album, Synchro Anarchy, emerged from the challenges of the pandemic through a collaborative remote writing process that further expanded the band's signature sound. Blending intricate musicianship with themes of technology, space, anxiety, and humanity, the album reinforces Voïvod's status as one of metal's most adventurous and enduring acts. With a documentary, book, and continued worldwide touring plans, the band remains committed to creating groundbreaking music and connecting with generations of fans around the globe. ---------------------------- About BAT Website | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | Spotify | Apple Music Primitive Heavy Speed from Richmond, VA. Ryan Waste - Bass, Vocals Nick Poulos - Guitar Chris Marshall - Drums ---------------------------- About Rhododendron Website | Instagram | Spotify Formed in 2019 while the band’s members were still in high school, Rhododendron’s Ezra Chong (guitar, vocals), Gage Walker (bass), and Noah Mortola (drums) set out to push their musical limits without regard for genre boundaries or audience expectation. Over the past 7 years, the trio has developed a sound rooted in technical precision and repetition. Drawing from the angular experimentation of underground rock in the 1980s and 1990s alongside elements of jazz, ambient, and progressive music, their compositions are deliberate with intensity. Riffs fracture and reform, rhythms lock into patterns only to break apart, and extended passages build pressure before shifting direction. Performing regularly in their hometown of Portland, OR, Rhododendron have cultivated an intense and loyal local following. The live setting hardened the material, and songs grew heavier, sharper, more physical through repetition and high volume. ---------------------------- Please note the Underground Arts Safety Policy: Although not encouraged by Underground Arts or the Artist, moshing, crowd surfing or stage diving activities may take place at this event.
