Join in the annual Black August Block Party from 3pm-6pm on Sunday, August 23, hosted by the Party for Socialism and Liberation and held at the Stephen and Harriet Myers Residence, 194 Livingston Avenue, Albany. Don’t miss food, art, music, political prisoner letter writing, and political programming to honor the core tenets of Black August: Study, Train, Fight, Fast! Black August is honored every year to commemorate the fallen freedom fighters of the Black Liberation Movement, to call for the release of political prisoners, and to emphasize the continued importance of the Black Liberation struggle. Join us as we honor this tradition.
