About this event
One of 21 upcoming events at Union Project, and 247 across Pittsburgh.
Summer Camp Monday through Friday, daily 1pm-4pm Age Level: 9-12 years Campers will explore the handbuilding techniques of pinch, coil, and slab to create functional and sculptural animal artwork. Throughout the week, they will practice real artist skills like planning out an idea, adding details, and smoothing out their finished pieces. The projects are designed with creativity in mind so that campers can add their own unique flair, but are also guided step-by-step to support emerging artists. Make sure your young campers wear clothes that they don’t mind getting dirty. If a camp is sold out, you may request to be added to the waitlist. This is one of two offerings of this camp. The building is wheelchair accessible via the side door on Stanton Avenue, and an accessible parking spot is located just outside that door. Service animals are always welcome, and ASL interpretation can be provided on request. Please let us know what accommodations we can make to ensure your experience is positive by contacting Alex Woodring at 412-363-4550×214 or alex@unionproject.org.
