Age Level: 12 – 16 Experience Level: All levels Has your teen always wanted to try their hand at the potter’s wheel? Join us for a creative learning experience in the ceramics studio. Designed for teens ages 12 – 16, students will learn the basics of centering clay and throwing bowls and cylinders on the wheel. Led by an experienced teaching artist, this fun and informative workshop is designed for those who are curious about clay or want to further their skills without the commitment of a class. Your finished pieces will be bisque-fired and glazed for you. You will receive an email when your work is ready for pickup a few weeks after the workshop. Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Each registration includes clay, tools, glaze, and firing costs for one participant. No outside clay or glazes permitted. If a class or workshop is sold out, you may request to be added to the waitlist. Union Project is committed to being accessible to all. The building is wheelchair accessible via the side door on Stanton Avenue, and an accessible parking spot is located just outside that door. Service animals are always welcome, and ASL interpretation can be provided on request. Please let us know what accommodations we can make to ensure your experience is positive, contact Alex Woodring at 412-363-4550 or alex@unionproject.org if you have specific accommodations or needs.
Union Project uses the art of ceramics to build meaningful community connections. Plus, a big beautiful historic space to host your next event.
