8 Thursdays, April 23 – June 18 (No Class May 7) Age Level: 16 and up Experience Level: Intermediate/Advanced Are you ready to learn more techniques to create interesting surfaces on your pottery and sculpture? This intermediate/advanced class explores painting with underglazes and underglaze transfers. You’ll design and make your own screenprints for use on clay and learn how to make and add personalized decal images to your finished pieces. We will also use rubber latex and wax resist to create multiple layers of imagery using new glazing techniques. It’s time to take your work to the next level! Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Each registration includes clay, tools, glaze, and firing costs for one participant. No outside clay or glazes permitted. If a class or workshop is sold out, you may request to be added to the waitlist. Union Project is committed to being accessible to all. The building is wheelchair accessible via the side door on Stanton Avenue, and an accessible parking spot is located just outside that door. Service animals are always welcome, and ASL interpretation can be provided on request. Please let us know what accommodations we can make to ensure your experience is positive, contact Alex Woodring at 412-363-4550 or alex@unionproject.org if you have specific accommodations or needs.
Union Project uses the art of ceramics to build meaningful community connections. Plus, a big beautiful historic space to host your next event.
