Hands-On History Hour, a program designed for elementary students, encourages engagement with history through artifacts and interactive learning. Each program consists of an introduction with relevant background information and a related craft. Children will have the opportunity to interact with relevant artifacts and historical replicas, allowing them to connect past and present objects. Wednesday, April 15 | 3:00 P.M. Indigenous Americans in Colonial America Explore Native American life in colonial Upstate South Carolina as we learn about the Cherokee and Catawba Nations. Enjoy an indigenous-inspired craft while learning history through hands-on engagement and games. This program is included with your general admission and FREE to UHM Members.
