Tom Parker in the CMT series Sun Records and held a recurring role on another CBS favorite, Young Sheldon. In 2016, Gardell earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Game Show Host for Monopoly Millionaires Club. Before Mike & Molly, he co-starred in the critically acclaimed series Lucky, and his additional television credits include Yes, Dear, Judging Amy, My Name Is Earl, The Practice, Monk, and Gary the Rat. Gardell made his major motion-picture debut alongside Anthony Quinn and Sylvester Stallone in Avenging Angelo, and shared a memorable scene with Billy Bob Thornton in the Coen Brothers’ Bad Santa. His other film credits include You, Me & Dupree. A veteran of the stand-up circuit, Gardell took the long road to Hollywood, performing in small-town lounges, military bases, and comedy clubs across the country.
