The Spirit of ’76

This event will take place at Jammin Java in Vienna. For 15 years, our Director of Education Ben Tufts has been hosting "Ben Tufts & Friends" concerts featuring DMV talent, benefitting the scholarship fund in his father Craig's name. Craig was the Chief Naturalist at the National Wildlife Federation for 33 years, and the memorial fund in his name funds the study of nature by budding environmentalists from all over the United States. Every BT&F event is a different theme, and since 2026 coincides with Ben's 50th birthday, he decided to feature the music that was on the radio and in concert halls in 1976. You'll hear music from ABBA, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Boston, Cat Stevens, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Hall and Oates, Heart, Joni Mitchell, Led Zeppelin, Peter Frampton, Rush, Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder, The Band, The Ramones, Thin, Lizzy, Tom Petty, Warren Zevon and more!
