About this event
One of 17 upcoming events at Vermont Public, and 465 across Burlington.
Catamount Arts announces the return of the monthly Strum Club to York Street Meeting House, beginning Tuesday, Oct. 6. The community is invited to a potluck at 5:30 pm and the strumming commences at 6:30 pm. This free community gathering is open to guitarists, instrumentalists and singers, as well as folks who just want to listen. All ages, instruments, and skill levels are welcome. The event is hosted by the Elliott family; siblings Rachael and Matthew Elliott facilitate the Strum Club and Matthew’s wife Val produces the community potluck. Strum Club meets on the first Tuesday of the month from October 6, 2026 through March 2, 2027 and is free, accessible and open to the public. The goal is to build community through the enjoyment of food, music & company during the darker months, “from Stick Season to Sugaring Season,” as the Elliotts say. For more information on Strum Club, other events at York Street Meeting House, and/or live music opportunities throughout the Northeast Kingdom, visit www.catamountarts.org or call the box office at 802-748-2600.
