Just the Tops Quilt Turning Saturday

Join the Virginia Quilt Museum for a chance to see 20 historic quilts from the museum's collection. These quilt turnings are limited to 15 people each so that guests can get an up close look at each of the quilts featured. The same quilts will be shown on Friday and Saturday - please only register for one. This quilt turning will feature 20 quilt tops from the museum’s collections. These tops were never quilted or tied and have been left as unfinished quilt tops. The beauty of quilt tops is that you can really study both the front and the back of the top and see the craftsmanship that is often hidden in the quilt. Highlights of this turning will include The Harrison Family Album Quilt Top circa 1847-1848 1889 Silk Paper Pieced Top complete with papers still intact Sampler Friendship Album Top circa 1850 The Virginia Quilt Museum offers refunds for program and event registrations up until 2 weeks before the program. If you are unable to attend a program that you have paid for, you are welcome to transfer your registration to a friend or family member on your own.
