Soar across the skies with “Flying Theme” from John Williams’ score for E.T., cross the threshold into the “Hall of the Mountain King” with Peer Gynt, or sweep down the plains with tunes from Rodger & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma. From thrilling adventures to unforgettable melodies, every piece reveals another color of the VSO. Join us for this FREE, family-friendly concert with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra on the Bagley Stage! A variety of food trucks will be available for an evening picnic. Bring your own chairs or blanket. (Pop-up tents and oversized umbrellas are not permitted.) Attendees are welcome to bring their own chairs, blankets, etc. We do not allow tents, umbrellas, or flag banners. Can We Bring Outside Food and Drink? We will have a variety of food vendors on site for the convenience of attendees. Outside food and beverage is permitted. NO glass or alcohol is permitted. Can We Bring our Dogs? Dogs are welcome. We ask that attendees use discretion when considering bringing their pets, as there may be a number of other dogs there and the weather may not be very dog friendly. What is the Rain Policy? In the event of cancelation due to inclement weather, updates will be posted to our website, social media, and distributed to our email list.. Where Can I Park? Parking for this event is free. Parking will be primarily in the grass as directed by parking attendees. We ask that those with accessible parking placards have those placards prominently displayed upon arrival to be properly directed.
