Soar across the skies with “Flying Theme” from John Williams’ score for E.T., cross the threshold into the “Hall of the Mountain King” with Peer Gynt, or sweep down the plains with tunes from Rodger & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma. From thrilling adventures to unforgettable melodies, every piece reveals another color of the VSO. Free parking after 6pm located in nearby city lots VIP & accessible parking is available directly behind the Pavilion (enter via Wavy Street from Port Centre Parkway) Downtown parking info: portsmouthva.gov/260/Downtown-Parking . What is the Food and Drink Policy Outside food and beverage is not permitted in the venue. Are Dogs Allowed? Furry Friends are asked to stay at home. Only service animals will be allowed in the pavilion. Can I bring Chairs or Blankets? Blankets are permitted, but lawn chairs are not as seating will take place solely under the pavilion. What is the Rain Policy? Due to the nature of the musical instruments and their sensitivity to humidity, Symphony on the River may be postponed due to inclement weather.
