In this class covering wheel fundamentals, students will learn the skills necessary to throw cylinders, cups, bowls and more. This class is designed for students with little or no experience on the potter’s wheel and may be taken more than once to establish and refresh basic wheel throwing skills. This class is for ages 14+. Prerequisite No prerequisite required Materials Purchase clay in advance. Standard 553 (White) Clay recommended for beginners. Students are assigned a half shelf for the duration of the class. This class session includes 1500 cubic inches of glaze firings. Students who exceed this amount must pay an overage fee of $0.05 per cubic inch. Notes Practice makes perfect! Sign up for daily open studio. Classes require a minimum enrollment of four students. If classes must be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be informed three days prior to the start of the class and issued a full refund. Registration will close 2 weeks prior to the start date.
