Join us at the Nevada State Museum, Carson City for a special day celebrating Navajo culture and exploring the history of the American Southwest through stories, scholarship, and cultural performance. From the legendary Route 66 to the complicated history of General William T. Sherman, the day offers opportunities to learn, listen, and experience history from multiple perspectives. 11:00 AM–12:00 PM | Route 66 Lecture Join Shawn Price for a look at the history, people, places, and stories connected to America’s iconic Mother Road. 12:00–1:00 PM | Lunch Break Take a break, grab some lunch, and enjoy the museum before the afternoon program begins. 1:00–2:00 PM | Navajo Cultural Performance Experience Navajo culture through a special live cultural performance celebrating tradition, storytelling, and the enduring cultural heritage of the Navajo people. 2:30–3:30 PM | General William T. Sherman Lecture Shawn Price returns for an exploration of General William T. Sherman and his place in the history of the American West. Come for one program or make a day of it!
