Junior Park Ranger Adventure Presents: Birds

Join the Carson City Park Rangers to learn more about the exciting world of our feathered friends that live in Carson City! Jr. Ranger’s will spread their wings to learn about the four S’s of birding – shape, size, sound and surrounding. There will be about a half mile stroll around Mills Park as we use binoculars to identify different species. We will have limited supply of binoculars, so please bring your own if you can. We will meet at the Mills Park Amphitheater located on the Seely Loop side of the park. Make sure to dress for the weather, bring plenty of water, and come with an excitement for birds! Date: Saturday, April 25, 2026 Time: 10:30am-12:00pm Location: Mills Park Amphitheater Need to Know: – Minors under 18 must be accompanies by an adult – Dogs are allowed on leash – Online registration is required – If you or a family member needs it, Park Rangers have one Grit Freedom all-terrain wheelchair available. If you’d like to request use of this wheelchair during our program, email parkrangers@carsoncity.gov. This request is on a first come first serve basis.
