The Lake Tahoe Mushroom Festival is being organized by the Sierra Nevada Alliance in partnership with a collective of local fungi experts, including mycologists, educators, researchers, and experienced field guides. Together, we are creating a celebration of fungi, forest ecosystems, and the natural connections that sustain our region. At its core, this event is dedicated to fostering environmental stewardship and a deeper appreciation for the vital role fungi play in healthy ecosystems. Our goal is to inspire a community that is more connected to the natural world and empowered to become active stewards of the places we cherish.
