Isabel will discuss what bioarchaeologists do in the field and laboratory, and how their work contributes to our understanding of the ancient Maya. Drawing from her experiences working on an archaeological project in Belize, Isabel will share what it is like to conduct bioarchaeological research in the field and in the lab. She will also discuss her ongoing research using 3D scanning and digital technology to study and preserve human remains in Belize, including the progress and discoveries from her current work. **This presentation contains images of human remains** Your event or program registration is transferable If you are unable to attend a workshop or program, you may transfer your registration to another person or to a different date for the same workshop or program.
