Nov 14, 2026, 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM 510 Washington Ave, 510 Washington Ave, Ocean Springs, MS 39564, USA Get ready to soak up the sun and create your own nature-inspired art! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll use a vibrant turmeric and rubbing alcohol mixture to make golden sun prints - similar to cyanotypes, but with an all-natural twist. Arrange leaves, flowers, or other found objects onto your coated paper, then let the sunlight work its magic. We’ll finish the process with a baking soda bath that brings your images to life. This is an easy, eco-friendly way to try printmaking with everyday materials, and you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of art with beautiful fall tones for the season! This event is perfect for curious creatives and nature lovers. Note: These sunny prints are beautifully delicate and may lighten over time. Please Note: Turmeric will stain, so wear clothing you won't mind getting messy! We will also walk outside around museum grounds for a little while to collect natural materials for sun printing. This free workshop has limited spaces, so be sure to reserve your spot! This event is sponsored by MDEQ, Blossman Gas
