Close To Home A peony so close you can almost smell it. A dog looking straight at you like he knows something. Clouds drifting over the water on a summer afternoon. Close To Home is a collection of oil paintings and photography rooted in the everyday. These pieces are personal reflections on place, memory and the simple act of noticing. They’re about color and how a closer look can make something ordinary feel completely alive. As a fifth-generation Islander, my connection to Washington Island runs deep. The landscapes and natural beauty here continue to shape the way I see and respond to the world.
