The Waukegan Park District and the Waukegan Historical Society are hosting a history walking tour, Waukegan Architecture 101 on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 11am to 1pm with a starting location at the Waukegan History Museum at the Carnegie, located at 1 N. Sheridan Road. Free parking is available in parking lot F, adjacent to the building. Waukegan contains many different types of architecture from Greek Revival to Modern. Join us as we walk around downtown Waukegan and explore the diverse architecture. The tour starts at the Waukegan History Museum at the Carnegie. Registration is required and there is a fee. $5 for residents and $10 for nonresidents. Register by Saturday, May 2, 2026.
