After School Art, ages 5-8

@ Location Cost 4 week session Register Online Each week, students will explore exciting themes and projects while experimenting with a wide variety of art materials—such as watercolor and acrylic paints, oil and chalk pastels, clay, collage, printmaking, and more. Through open-ended projects, students are encouraged to explore their creativity, make artistic choices, take creative risks, and discover their unique artistic voice. Our classes nurture imaginative thinking and storytelling, helping children express big ideas and emotions through visual narratives and personal creations. In addition to sparking imagination, our signature art projects support the development of fine motor skills, confidence, and social-emotional development in a fun group environment. Sharing materials, taking turns, and offering kind feedback all become part of the experience. A student art reception will be held in December. Students will take home their collected works in the days following the event. Additional Notes: * This is a drop-off class. Ms. Claudia meets students at the elementary school at 3:00 pm and walks them to the Cora classroom. Parents who drop off can meet the group at ~3:15 pm at the classroom. * Special needs: If your child has any specific needs, please contact Claudia in advance at [email protected] so we can ensure the best experience for your child. * Voyager Add-On Option: Voyager staff can escort students after art class for continued care from 4:30–5:30 pm, at an additional cost of $5 per afternoon. Sign-up is by the session (e.g., the full 11 weeks or one or more full sessions). Parents will pick up their children at Voyager, 280 N Cora Street. Multi-session discount: Sign up for multiple fall semester sessions at once and receive $10 off each session! (This discount cannot be applied retroactively to previously completed sessions.)
