Presented by Emersion Music, CURRENTS: Composers in Motion is an immersive evening of cinematic music, live chamber strings, piano, electronics, and movement. The program features original music by award winning composers Emer Kinsella, Duncan Thum, Vivek Maddala, Layla Minoui, Yuichiro Oku, Amit May Cohen, Zack Hexum & Niki Hexum, performed live by the Emersion Ensemble with movement artists Malik “Gvmby” Bannister and Jasmyn Thomas. Inspired by the Wende Museum’s connection to transformation and turning points, CURRENTS explores how history moves like water: carrying memory, changing shape, and replenishing what comes next. Supported by the City of Culver City, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Culver Arts, Fine Line Music, BMI, Orchestral Tools. A fiscally sponsored project under Creative Visions Foundation.
