Wednesday 9/9: Press & Stamp: Make Your Own Stamp Card Description: Discover the history of letter stamping and early printing while creating your own stamp card! Before computers and modern printers, people used hand-carved letters, stamps, and small printing presses to reproduce words and images on paper. Letterpress printing became an important way to share newspapers, books, advertisements, and other information with communities. Inspired by a stamping set in the museum’s collection, visitors will see how these historic tools worked and try the process themselves. Design your own card, arrange your letters and images, and use stamps to create a unique printed keepsake to take home!
