Today is the day to get out and smell the roses! We are traveling to the amazing, splendid Chicago Botanic Gardens in Glencoe. Enjoy one of the world’s great living museums and conservation science centers, featuring 28 gardens and four natural areas, uniquely situated on 385 acres on and around nine islands, with six miles of lake shoreline. Take time to wander through the National Orchid Garden or stroll along the Rain Forest Trail. Relax at Swan Lake, explore the English garden or visit the renowned Bonsai collection. You can take a 30 minute tram ride to get an overview of the gardens. (included with admission) There are variety of gardens and endless vistas. Lunch is on your own today at the Garden View Café. Don’t forget to stop in the Garden Gift Shop. Browse every kind of garden-themed item under the sun, from books and plants to clothing and jewelry.  You don’t have to be a gardener to experience the beauty of these spectacular gardens! Wear comfortable shoes. Bring a friend!
