Scott Hunter with his work Bluffs on view at the Museum in 2024 About the Artist Scott Hunter describes his work as being “rooted in tradition, drawn from life, and constructed with imagination. It is about the arrangement of images, textures, colors and shapes. I work in both a representational and non-representational manner, struggling with the need to merge figuration with a love of abstract expressionism.” The result is two distinct bodies of work, each represented in The Westmoreland’s permanent collection: Inside Airplane (2022), oil and acrylic on canvas from the Nonie Series; and Bluffs (2016), oil and acrylic on canvas. In addition to being an artist, Scott has been part of The Westmoreland’s Art Team, working as Preparator, for the past eight years. Learn more about Scott’s artistic practice at his website scotthunterfineart.com. NOTE: This exclusive tour is available for Museum members at the $500 level and above.
