Wethersfield 2026 Hunter Pace

The Wethersfield Hunter Pace will now take place on Sunday, November 8, 2026, moving one day from the previously announced date of Saturday, November 7. After rain forced us to cancel the September 27 event, we were eager to welcome everyone back. However, several other riding events scheduled for November 7 have created conflicts for our participants. We hope moving to Sunday will make it easier for more riders to join us. All English and Western riders are welcome to join us for a hunt, hilltop, or untimed pleasure ride through 8.5 miles of gorgeous trails at Wethersfield Estate. There will be approximately 80 jumps, including many of our cross-country schooling jumps (all jumps have go-arounds). IMPORTANT CHANGE Pace begins at 8:30 AM for all divisions, last Hunt and Hilltop riders must be out by 12:00 pm. All Pleasure riders will now depart between 11:30-12:30 PM. This event is rain or shine. Teams will go out on a first-come, first-served basis, there are no set start times. Teams can be of mixed disciplines and ages, but there must be no more than 4 riders per team. A bagged lunch will be provided. Vegan option available. An average of all times will determine the winning time. First through eighth place ribbons will be given in the Hunt and Hilltop divisions. First prize for both divisions is $200.00. Second prize for both divisions will be Season Equestrian passes to Wethersfield (Valued at $175.00). Results will be posted on the Wethersfield website and Facebook page. This is the second pace of the Hudson Valley Pace Series, so come, join us and accumulate your points. Please email [email protected] if you have questions on the pace series itself. Online registration ONLY. Cut-off date to register is November 5. Please note that Wethersfield trails will be closed to outside visitors on 11/7. For more information reach out to [email protected] Anyone that comes the day of the event that has not pre-registered online and uploaded their Coggins to TicketSpice will be turned away. Helmets are mandatory when mounted. Water is available nearby the trailer parking. ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS WILL BE ALLOWED!
