About this event
One of 65 upcoming events at Whatcom Museum.
This month’s program: Birds and Bugs The Birchwood Garden Club is a vibrant and growing area-wide gardening club of over 230 members that meet on the first Wednesday of the month from September through May in the Whatcom Museum Rotunda Room. Join for a brief business meeting, followed by refreshments and a rotating program of speakers. Each month there is a silent auction of garden books and items. Visitors are always welcome. Programs cover an extensive range of gardening related topics from beginning to expert: fundamentals (helping plants thrive, controlling weeds, pruning methods, soil conditioning), design (creating a beautiful garden, determining appropriate plants), specific plants (peonies, irises, rhododendrons, fuchsias, etc.), animals (mason bees, chickens), tourism (English gardens), and community involvement. Doors open at 6:30 pm, and the program starts at 7 pm. Free, with a $5 suggested donation. Learn more on the Birchwood Garden Club website.
