The Chicago Experiment is a Chicago-based organ trio led by Connor Bernhard on guitar, trumpet, compositions, and arrangements, with Zack Marks on drums and Andrew “Larry” Lawrence on Hammond B3 — and two very special guests on saxophone: Mark Hartsuch and Neil Carson. Longtime collaborators through New Nostalgia, Bonzo Squad, and other projects, the three combine jazz’s harmonic depth and improvisational spirit with the grooves and melodies of popular music. The result is a high-energy, funk-forward sound featuring inventive covers alongside original compositions.
