Citywide Jazz Series: The Whistler Jam

Each week, we present Chicago’s top jazz artists in a lively atmosphere, full of cocktail-shaking and spirited conversation — and on September 1st, we’re proud to partner with the Chicago Jazz Festival on a memorable night of live music. Dynamic rhythm section Matt Ulery (bass) and Quin Kirchner (drums) — with special guest Pete Benson (piano) — lead an open jam session welcoming any and all jazz musicians to join in. Whether you’re stepping onstage or settling in with a cocktail, The Whistler Jam is a place to connect with Chicago’s jazz community and experience the music as it unfolds. Players and fans alike are invited to be part of the scene.
